Slipper vamps run longer than pointe shoe vamps. For example, a dancer who chooses vamp 2 in pointe shoes and wants the same coverage in slippers will likely prefer slipper vamp 1.
Vamp length may be perceived differently in V-vamps (Andante) vs. U-vamps (Virtuoso and Nouveau). Vamp length should be re-evaluated with a change in model.
