Katlyn began studying dance at the age of 5 at Dancenter North in Libertyville, IL, under the direction of Cheri Lindell, and has been hooked on dance ever since. Although most of her training has been in ballet, she has also studied jazz, modern, and lyrical. Katlyn spent several summers at ballet intensives across the country, including at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Orlando Ballet, and Boston Ballet. Katlyn was also chosen for principal roles in Dancenter North’s long-running show, "The Magic of the Nutcracker," dancing alongside professionals from Joffrey Ballet, Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, Ballet Met, and Suzanne Farrell Ballet. After a severe hip injury, she took some time off of dance to explore other career options, and is now working toward her LMT in clinical massage therapy at the Soma Institute of Clinical Massage Therapy, which she hopes to use to help prevent fellow dancers and athletes from injury. Katlyn is excited to be joining the Boutique staff at Russian Pointe!
