A native of Aurora, IL, Mario grew up dancing Latin ballroom, especially salsa. He has choreographed performances for many Hispanic Heritage events in Aurora, as well as private showcases and he performed and choreographed for the step team in high school. An avid painter, photographer and performance poet, Mario graduated in 2010 from Columbia College Chicago with a BA in art history and photography.
