Use the size conversion chart (below) as a general guideline for slipper size. This is a starting point only; size choice must be refined during a fitting. Russian Pointe slippers are created in a soft, high-quality canvas, so sizing should allow for a certain amount of stretch.
Dancers have different preferences for slipper snugness. Many go down a size or more to achieve their desired level of snugness (and allow for stretching). Generally, new slippers should be snug and formfitting, but not so tight that the toes are curling or overlapping, or the slipper is uncomfortable.
