How has dance influenced my life? I can go in so many directions with my answer, but one thing stands out to me the most. Dance has made me not only strong physically, but strong and focused mentally. I see many kids my age make the wrong choices that have negative influences on themselves and others. I always think to myself that maybe if these kids would have loved dance as much as me, then they would be happier. Dance has taught me to love my body and me.
Dance gives me many opportunities to put smiles on a lot of faces. I not only dance in productions, but I get the chance to dance at benefits to raise money for those in need. It’s great that I have found something that makes me feel so safe and happy. I just want everyone to have something in their life that brings them so many fulfillments. There is no better feeling than knowing you’ve made a positive impact on someone’s life. My academy reaches out to the community through dance and I am grateful to have the chance to participate and give something back to my community.
I thank my mom every day for helping me accomplish my dream of being a ballerina. Dance helps me in everyday life to grow into a strong, confident young lady. It helps me get prepared for obstacles that will come in the future. And best of all, I get to wear tutus. I can’t think of any part of my life that dance hasn’t influenced, from flexibility to dedication and good work ethics. I have a wonderful family that I am also a part of at my dance academy.
Dancing, watching, and studying dance has taught me to have better focus in school and taught me to balance my schedule. It has taught me that you can never dream too big. I plan to never stop dancing or dreaming.
I love and appreciate all disciplines of dance. There is something for everyone. Dance is a fun way to stay in shape and to be healthy. When I’m not dancing, I’m thinking about dancing. When I’m sleeping, I’m dreaming about dancing.
Dance puts me out of myself and lets me see a different part of myself, which I would have never known.
