Russian Pointe, Inc. was founded by Aleksandra Efimova in May 1998, in Ann Arbor, MI. While a full time student of International Business Studies, Ms. Efimova wrote a business plan as a part of her degree program. The plan addressed the import of dance shoes and apparel to the United States from Russia. As she completed her studies, she decided to implement the plan and combine her passions for the arts, education, and business.

Russian Pointe quickly grew from a small distribution to the dance schools in the Ann Arbor area, to a prestigious brand of high quality products available in hundreds of fine dancewear stores across the United States and worldwide. Today, world-class professional ballet companies choose Russian Pointe for their dancers.
